K-pop veteran and beloved TV personality Kim Jong-min, leader of the legendary co-ed group Koyote, is officially off the market!

On April 20, Kim tied the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend, known affectionately as “Hyung,” in a private ceremony held at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul. The bride, who is 11 years younger, chose to stay out of the spotlight, and the event was attended only by close family and friends. To respect her privacy, the wedding was held behind closed doors.

A Wedding Full of Stars 🌟

The celebration was split into two parts. Yoo Jae-suk, Kim’s longtime friend and variety show partner, hosted the first half of the ceremony. The second half was emceed by Moon Se-yoon and Jo Se-ho, both of whom appeared alongside Kim on the show 2 Days & 1 Night. Popular singers Lee Juck and Lyn performed heartfelt congratulatory songs for the newlyweds.


A Romantic Journey

Kim Jong-min previously revealed his relationship on KBS2’s 2 Days & 1 Night in January, sharing his joy with fans. The couple has reportedly been dating for two years. Kim affectionately calls his bride “Hyung,” and has spoken warmly about his hopes for a family, saying he dreams of having a daughter first, then a son.

Kim first gained attention as a backup dancer for icons like Uhm Jung-hwa before debuting with Koyote in 2000. After original leader Kim Goo left the group, Kim Jong-min stepped up and has led Koyote ever since, earning widespread fame not just for his music but also for his lovable presence on Korean variety shows.

Though he often plays the fool, Kim’s sincerity and good nature have made him a fan favorite. His charm earned him KBS’s Best Entertainer Award in 2006, and eventually, the Grand Prize (Daesang) in 2016. From 2021 to 2024, he consistently won KBS Entertainer of the Year awards, showing just how much love he's received from the Korean public.
